Birthday Party Project Offerings
Sharpie Tie-Dye Wall HangingCreate beautiful wall hangings with this magical project! Kids will decorate a piece of white fabric with sharpies, then using rubbing alcohol, they'll turn it into tie-dye! This project creates lots of "oohs" and "ahhs" every time we do it! To finish, we'll give kids beads, ribbons and fun decorations to hang from the top. This project can also be done on hats, tote bags, etc!

Magic Wands & CrownsFor this fun project kids will make their very own magic wands and paper crowns to create a whole magical costume! They'll begin by wrapping the wand in brightly colored yarns. Next they'll add beads, feathers, plastic flowers and more to make them extra magical! Finally, we'll finish them off by decorated the hanging ribbons with markers and gem stickers. Kids love making this project as well as the hours of fun they get from playing with afterwards.

Layered CollageYoung children love self portraits, and they become a wonderful memento of how kids see themselves. For this project, kids will draw themselves in a small mirror, then make a beautiful tye-dye rainbow painting using a special bleeding tissue paper and water. They'll finish by gluing their self portrait and tons of fun items to collage (like pom poms, feathers, buttons, gems, etc). This project can also have other subjects (e.g. animals, mermaids, superheroes, etc.) to match a theme.

Jewelry & Keychain MakingA fun project for everyone! Here kids will make their own customized charm (to be painted with nail polish!) Next we’ll take out our collection of diverse and magical beads. We’ll help kids create a beautiful unique necklace or keychain. With any extra time kids can always make a bracelet as well! This project can also be curated with wooden beads to be suitable for younger age groups!

Yarn Wall HangingsOne of our most popular projects! Using our giant bin of beautiful yarns, kids will learn how to make yarn wall hangings. After learning the basic stitch to attach the yarn, next we'll introduce a few variations like braiding, and hanging loops. To finish off we'll bring wooden beads for kids to hang on the bottom.

Layered PaintingKids could begin with tape to make a shape on canvas (a heart, sunset, etc). Next they'll add lots of cool layers with sharpie, pastel, liquid watercolor. Next they'll remove the tape, revealing their design! To finish off kids can decorate with gem stickers and paint pens.

Painted Embroidery HoopsMake a beautiful piece of art to hang anywhere! We'll begin by painting fabric inside an embroidery hoop. Next kids will learn the basics of embroidery and stitching and they will sew in colored string and beads. We'll finish them off with some beautiful ribbons on the bottom.

Party Info:
Our parties run for 1.5 hours and include one hour of art instruction, all supplies needed for your chosen project, and a “Happy Birthday” poster that the kids can decorate before the project begins! Once we wrap up our project, we will hand the party off to parents/guardians for refreshments and singing - please note that families are responsible for supplying decorations, pizza, cake or snacks of your choice.

Please provide us with your preferred date and time, as well as a back up. We will coordinate with you and our instructor to pick a date and time that works best for everyone! There is an option of using our studio at Creative Hearts for an additional fee ($100.00) to be paid to the South Presbyterian Church. For scheduling the party, we will have to check with the availability of the church and our staff. Please send us your preferred dates and times as well as some backups!

- Custom parties start at $450 for 10 children or less and $45/each additional child. We'll work with you to find a custom project your kids will love!

What's the FLow of the Party?
Parties are booked for 90 minutes
- For the first 15-20 minutes, while waiting for all the kids to arrive, the instructor will have out a handmade Happy Birthday sign for participants to color and decorate!
- Once everyone has arrived, we will transition over to the main project for the next 50-60 minutes; the instructor will describe the project and process, then hand out materials for the kids to get started, and guide the group as needed through the steps.
- Once everyone has completed their project, we will hand the party back over to the hosts for the rest of the party, and use the remaining 15-20 minutes to clean up and pack our supplies

We offer a party "menu" of various tried and true projects that work well for the constraints of a party, most of which can be adapted to various themes.
