Creative Hearts is a nurturing space for everyone's creativity to shine! Classes are taught by artist educators who foster the learning and development of the whole child. Our classes are the perfect way to add some creativity, connection and fun into your child's afternoon! We aim to create a positive and peaceful space for kids to recharge through art.
Interested in art, but not in our studio? We offer mobile classes, birthday parties, and private lessons that come to you!
Please let us know if you are unable to afford the full cost of the class. We will do our best to work with you to make class affordable.

Fiber Art (Session 1)— Ages 4-7
3:30 - 4:30 pm $455 for 13 weeks No class on 10/13 and 10/20 Explore the magic of fabrics and delve into the world of textile creation! Students will learn weaving, dyeing, felting, and so much more! We'll use fabric to make collaged self portraits, weave yarn wall hangings and even create pillows and hats from our magical dyed fabrics! This class will be all about the multitude of fun ways to print, paint and glue textiles into amazing artwork! |

We’ll have fun playing with our own flipping acrobat toy and pom pom carnival games! Then we’ll create 3D circus tents with tiny people, rainbow lion paintings and even carousel sculptures with ourselves riding the animals |

Transform into creatures as big as your arm and tiny enough to fit on one finger! Here we'll use clay, felt, poster board, string, wood and found objects to create a collection of multimedia masks and puppets! We’ll take inspiration from art around the world to develop our own marionettes, shadow puppets, paper masks, clay masks and more! |

Hanging Art — Ages 4-7
4:45 - 5:45 pm $455 for 13 weeks No class on 9/24 Running out of table space?! Join us for all things hanging! Banners, mobiles, wall hanging and more! We’ll make stuffed clouds with painted sparkly rain, Calder inspired mobiles, suncatchers, and fabric banners that spell out our names! This class will be a fun exploration of new materials and ways of creating art- that will all hang from the walls! |

Drawing & Painting — Ages 4-7
3:30 - 4:30 pm $420 for 12 weeks No class on 10/2 and 11/27 The perfect class for young artists to practice painting and drawing methods and learning to see in a new way. Through fun, multimedia projects we’ll practice observational drawing, color mixing, and art basics. Projects will include a still life collage, paintings from photographs, drawing shadows and even a giant group mural! |

Art Buffet — Ages 4-12
4:45 - 5:45 pm $420 for 12 weeks or drop in for $35/day No class on 10/2 and 11/27 Dive into all the magical materials at Creative Hearts, with a different, open ended theme each week! Each "open studio" style class will feature a different material each week- such as sculpture, printmaking, watercolors and so much more! We’ll offer 3 different projects each class that kids can choose from, or they can invent their own! Perfect for kids who love to explore or those who need a little extra guidance. Sign up for the whole session or just drop in! |

FAQ's
What should my child wear? We often use messy materials (paint, glue, etc.) so we advise you to send your child dressed for a mess :)
Do you offer make ups? Because lessons are carefully planned, we can only offer make ups for the classes that we have to cancel, that were previously planned. If you miss a class, or if a class gets canceled due to inclement weather, we cannot guarantee a make up.
What happens during snow days? We follow the Dobbs Ferry school district schedule. If they close for a snow day, we are closed as well.

If you need to cancel your child's enrollment for any reason:

A full refund or credit toward a future class is available.
